And 75. We know what is at stake. If Jimmy Carter managed to vote in this election,
keep striving to vote in the future elections (provided there are any). Meanwhile, we will
organize and fight for our democracy. Our country has been through bad times before and
we can't let this take the values we hold dear from and from our children.

Peggy, Магу, Veronica, and all of oldsters of the Hubbell community 75), please
stay healthy and in the fight. We have to find a way to support and encourage the
younger generations to act and work for justice AND we have to learn from them how to
that. feel crushed for Anderson Clayton, the head of the North Carolina Democrats,
for David Hogg of Leaders We Deserve and so many young activitsts and candidates
who lost races, Colin Allred and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, and so many others. wrote my
three “kids” in their this morning to commiserate and “encourage them,
acknowledging that feel a little silly for all the postcarding and, for me, big buckets of
dough we contributed to the campaign. (Ignoble thoughts, know, so no need to scold
me. Mea culpa. was channeling the laughter and scorn of my Republican acquaintances
and that of my feckless Democratic friends who “aren't into politics.” I'll be I've felt
silly before and been laughed at many times.) But my “kids” wound up encouraging me.
Daughter: "Never feel bad about being on the right side of history." This from a scientist
activist who was crushed 2016. My doctor son wrote. "Don't feel silly. We are
inveterate optimists.” (I think the there meant our family, but take it to be
