When was a kid used to play this game with my
friends where we'd run up behind and pull each other's
pants down. Nothing gay about it because didn't even
know what sex was back then, it was just a harmless
game we played.
Everyone knew about it and my step dad was like "boys
will be boys" so didn't try to hide it.
One day my dad picks me up at school and he just
grabs my arm out of the blue. like "wtf dad" and he
doesn't say anything. A minute later, he just randomly
starts laughing to himself, and it's sinister
When we get home he drags me out of the car towards
the shed and says he's gonna "show me what being gay
feels like". I've genuinely never been more afraid of
anything than in those moments.
When we to the shed he opens the door and in the
corner there's this big medieval-looking cauldron behind
the DIY shit. He makes me get into it and shuts the lid.
crying. can't breathe. screaming to be let out.
Meanwhile my step dad just runs around the cauldron,
hitting it with a shovel and shouting "this is what AIDS
feels like!!!". All could was cry and scream but
nobody heard me. The only way could describe it is
like drowning.
Eventually he undoes the lid and lying there. didn't
talk to him much after that, even when he and my mom
got married. 99% sure had some kinda stress-
induced stroke because felt dizzy for days after the
incident. still have panic attacks whenever see a jar
or cauldron, and it's taken a lot for me to even admit
this. can't help it though, if could get over my trauma
would have already
