going insane or does it feel like the internet is getting more cumbersome and less usable
over time?
i feel like search results are getting worse and frequently having to rely on things like asking
on 4chan, community maintained google docs, discord etc to find information on topics
every time i search something on google i just get a page of dogshit soe results. each link asks
me to confirm cookies then will often expect me to register an account (or worse, setup a
subscription) before i can access the content. often it won't even have the information looking
for or it will but it's 5 paragraphs deep
it's hard for me to think of any ways in which my day to day use of the internet has gotten better
in the past 5 years, i feel like there are more steps and everything is just less efficient and more
time consuming and we have nothing to show for it. even block isn't reliable anymore
